What is it?

T2T (Talk To Tobii) is a package composed of:

- libt2t, a C library

- 2 mex interfaces to Matlab and Octave

- t2tio, a simple terminal application to send commands to the Tobii Eye Tracker (TET)

- 2 wrapper modules to  make libt2t usable from Python and Perl

- Sample code to illustrate the use of t2t: a terminal interface to the ET named t2tio (C application), a (pyhon & perl) application to perform the TET calibration, a (python & perl) application to display in real time eyes movements as detected by the eye tracker.

T2T relies on former work by Fani Deligianni and Andrew T. Duchowski, who, respectively, wrote the talk2tobii toolbox and the libtobii. These basic components have been slightly extended and adapted with respect to their original versions. The original sources are not included in the current package.

Talk2tobii was initially conceived as Matlab toolbox for OS X only. T2T provides access to talk2tobii on Matlab/Linux and Octave on both OS X and Linux too.

The libt2t library has been developed on top of the talk2tobii toolbox, with the aim to make the talk2tobii commands suite available not only to Matlab on Mac OS X, but also to Octave and C applications in both Linux and Mac OS X. With little extra effort, thanks to a great tool like SWIG,  we developed a glue interface to Python and Perl.

Who uses T2T?

T2T has been already embedded in PsyScope X, a program to design and run psychological experiments, used by many experimental labs.

Have your C, Python and Perl applications talk to a Tobii Eye Tracker from your Mac or Linux box
